66* Where is my mind?

As usual, the best part of a movie must be the end. And the end can only be great if it’s got a great soundtrack. TRUE SAY.

So what can be better than a romantic-psycho moment contextualized by skyscraper’s explosions after an intended suicide? A Pixies song in the Fight Club last movie scene, of course.

If you have either watched this movie or if you feel curious to, what you think about this?

The Pixies

An alternative indie rock band formed back in 1986.

Currently with 4 members from Boston who reunited in 2004 after the band had split in 1993.

Once again the magic formula for a perfect band with the old-chool style this world craves for.

Today’s song called “Where is my mind?” is from 1988 and gives us the psychedelia-noise pop vibe that characterizes this band and made them widely famous specially in Great Britain.

Starting with background vocals, quiet guitar, drums entrance, electric rhythm and then the main voice singing what we all ask to ourselves once in a while…

…Here the psycho lyrics (english/spanish):

Oh, stop

With your feet in the air and your head on the ground
Try this trick and spin it
Your head will collapse
But there’s nothing in it
And you’ll ask yourself

Where is my mind?

Way out in the water
See it swimmin’

I was swimmin’ in the Caribbean
Animals were hiding behind the rocks
Except the little fish
But they told me, he swears
Tryin’ to talk to me
