83* FourFiveSeconds

I don’t know how we let this trio pass…

Rihanna, Paul McCartney and Kaney West

I know It’s a rather unusual combination of music styles and personalities but I believe disruption makes this song cooler because it resembles a little of each one’s style without making it any personal thanks to the unifying and simple background.

Nowadays everyone talks a lot about innovation, diversity and making things different but when you make something great that looks weird to others you learn that many people refuse to change.

I’m glad though that this colaboration was possible because it’s refreshing and to me seems quite cheesy! (I mean I want more music-trios like this) Just watch the official music video that shows us how classic they still are… it’s black and white!

Even if the whole lyrics don’t make that much of deep sense, we all have experience that I’m-done-Let’s-get-(a little)-drunk mood for which this song makes it a whole lot easier for me to go by the week looking forward to Friday 😉

…And the one and only lyrics (english/spanish):

I think I’ve had enough
I might get a little drunk
I say what’s on my mind
I might do a little time
Because all of my kindness
Is taken for weakness

Now I’m four five seconds
From wilding
And we got three more days till Friday
I’m just trying to make it back home by Monday morning
I swear I wish somebody would dare me
Oh, that’s all I want

Woke up in optimist
Sun was shining
I’m positive
Then I heard you was talking trash
Hold me back, I’m about to spazz

And I know that you’re at home tonight
Thinking, how could I be so selfish
But you called about a thousand times
Wondering where I’ve been
Now, I know that you’re at home tonight
Thinking, how could I be so reckless
But I just can’t apologize
I hope you can understand

If I go to jail tonight
Promise you’ll pay my bail
See, they want to buy my pride
But that just ain’t up for sale
See, all of my kindness
Is taken for weakness
